Thanks, gard. ::handshake:: I like the translucent properties of this material. The fact that it could grenade at any moment, not so much. But I keep it isolated.

I agree on both counts. Though I won't avoid it outright, I won't go out of my way to acquire it, either. I own one knife that I know for sure is celluloid (and fortunately seems pretty stable) and a second that I strongly suspect has that material (it may be coming off; that particular knife needs some work).

They sure do. I prefer the synthetic Soddies because they're a little thicker (and have birdseye rivets), but I can't deny that the bone looks dang good. If only they'd see fit to give us a 37 in Micarta...

Had to cut a bunch of boxes leftover from starting to clean out an outbuilding/above garage apartment, so I formulated everything around that.

Leatherman Bond--my go to general-use tool
Stanley (Camillus) SL-12 Serrated Trapper. Eats cardboard for lunch.
Klein Tools (Moki) 44004 Hawkbill (better steel, lighter, and easier to use than the US-made Uticas--and also a really good value at $30)
Utica Jack (for the smaller blades, as I replaced my Stockman with the Trapper for today's use)
VIctorinox Alox Classic SD (there for scissors, mostly)
Cold Steel Voyager L. The heavy-hitter that made cutting thick cardboard pretty easy. I replaced an older Voyager with it, and despite the extra weight, I'm nothing but impressed.
IMG_20230306_100301.jpg

Also had a pair of Duluth DH-16 Handiboy pliers in the leg pocket of my overalls. Replaces a trio of a Pocket Wrench II and two pliers that are normally carried there.

The wrench is a real adjustable wrench, and the screwdriver end gives enough leverage to be a serious prybar. I don't carry it as much as I should, as people want stupid money for them nowadays, but it does what I need it to do at the least weight possible.

Hey Cody, great shot of the tools, and always like seeing the wool and horns behind the subject matter. Cool animals with great horns. Another nice shot and great stuff on you today. ::tu::

R.R. I think when it comes to celluloid you've got the right idea, it sounds like you are trying to say "You gotta keep 'em separated"
