This is my Marbles 12" Bowie, first introduced by Lester Marble in 1909. Bark River is now offering the Michigan Pattern Bowie in A2 steel with a variety of handle materials. [Available at Knives Ship Free.]

So glad you like it Ken and Marco. I had no thought about it being an extra good photo, so that was especially nice to hear.
It is a rare thing for my camera to catch a special moment of lighting.

If anyone has never experienced a well made Bowie but perhaps has toyed with the idea of getting one, I would highly recommend this Bark River iteration. It is a high value knife for a comparatively modest amount of money; around $ 300. It is a lot of knife for the money and includes A2 tool steel. A2 is what the late Phil Hartsfield used for his famously strong blades.

Very nice John! ::tu:: I don't think I've ever seen a Buck knife that doesn't have a metal pommel, ::shrug:: and I'm thinking I really like the look! ::hmm:: 8)
