I wish we had teachers capable of actually performing that role. I honestly cannot think of a single teacher that my 2 kids had in their entire school years that I would trust with a water pistol, let alone an actual firearm.

Just a little place in far West Texas and I bet just about every one there is a gun person. It is what the US used to be.

What is that used for? Besides drilling.

Keith I was told that thing is used to drill 3inch diameter holes into solid rock in order to place the corresponding size of rebar when building large concrete retaining walls. It's brand new and I'm taking it to a trade show at the Hilton Palace in Disney World.

I'm sure it is. It's just an attachment that you can put on any excavator. That Doosan DX225 that it is attached to comes in at about $325,000.

Greg, does it require a special permit to use a 3-axle trailer? Or does it not matter as long as you are under the total allowed max weight?

TFL you need a three or more axle trailer when you are hauling loads over the maximum allowable weight of 80,000 pounds. The machines that I haul usually gross from 95,000 to 140,000 and yes a permit is required once you exceed 80,000 in every state that youtravel through.

In 2013 the state legislature passed the Protection of Texas Children Act, which authorizes Texas school districts to create school marshals. From a state certified training instructor. School marshals must become re-certified every two years. Weapons may be their own or provided by the school district. Weapons must be kept locked up or on the body of the marshal at all times.

Participating employees are volunteers who typically take the training during the summer when they do not have classroom responsibilities. To date over 170 school districts (over 20% of all districts) are participating in the program. To date no Texas school marshal has had to draw their weapon.

Obviously some teachers are capable. I personally have been to the range with one school marshal, a female teacher, who is more proficient with firearms and a better shot than me (not that I'm an expert).

Thanks Mumbleypeg. I knew several districts were arming volunteer teachers but did not know the law.

Here's a couple of Ocean City reels. No banged up screws and no boat rash. They did need a little cleaning though.
These are early reels for these models. The round make and model riveted badge is of the early style.
These are, I assume, aluminum while later ones are painted green and even later ones are simply molded in the side plate.
They also have the two piece handle crank. By freeing up the nut on the handle end you then have a wrench to remove the handle.

Zebra Wood crafted box signed on the bottom. 4.5 inches, just right to hold the Boker Tree Brand knife I posted.

The Ambassadors are great reels. Lots of different models.

Strange how things happen, leaf in the gravel stem first, weird way to end up.

Been away for about a week to Aruba. Pretty relaxing. I'm not much for those fruity drinks, but they do go down smooth! I could get used to life in flip-flops.
