Yeah, Chief, I hear ya. I'm a pretty bland and boring guy. This one is still in my pocket and probably will be for some time to come, unless something unforseen happens. Schrade 863. I just find something that works for me and stick with it.

Chief, Jerry, Pinnah … all classics … old school EDC!

Caleb … wow. Second time today that knife has stopped me - just beautiful, man.

Tripped across this yesterday while doing some long-overdue inventory shots and I just couldn't resist. She's in my pocket now and will likely ride with me for a while. I just love everything about this knife …

You will love it! It has quickly become my all time favorite folder. Its perfect size, the pinched bolsters make it ride in your pocket so you dont even know its there ans not to mention the ringed and stants to the bolsters. The bone jigging and color is just awesome (Imo). the blade combo is my two favorite for a PK and the main clip blade swedge is great and the blade is nice and big for the knife. Whew, did I forget something? Lets just say - you will dig it! ;)

The Barlow is a classic - my very first knife was a white handled Barlow … nice!

Hey Dave, I've been around, but mostly at work.
I got a job a month and a week ago and it's been pretty hectic.

I love it though and the security and peace of mind is awesome.

The knife is an amber stag Lanny's clip made by knife maker John Lloyd. ::tu::

Jerry - Edit your previous post! ....that's a Schrade 863, not a 836. (missed it by that much) - lol.

Good choice, by the way....that's what I usually carry....either that or a Camillus 72. Same basic layout, but the Schrade's seem easier to get sharp for me, for some reason.

Unk -- Too late. Once the thread flips over to a new page, the edit option goes away for that post.

I'm not sure what's going on but lately, I've become somewhat dyslexic, leave out entire words, type wrong letters and I'm misspelling words I've never had trouble with. It's a mess. It's taking me twice as long as normal to compose a post. There are times, if it weren't for Google spell check, my posts would look like gobbledygook.

Edit: The Carpenter's and Whittler's pattern seems to be a very popular pattern. There are several tang stamps floating around. I have at least seven or eight. It's just a stockman, a pattern I'm not fond of at all, but there's something about the C&W's that draws me to 'em. Perfect length for the pocket, perfect hand feel and a great combination of blades all lumped together, make it my favorite knife.
