Totin' this Kutmaster for Three Blade Thursday. Blades aren't in the best shape, but the scales are decent, crack free and clear, excellent snap too.![]()

Great looking Bucks, gard.
The gorgeous bone on Scott's, Ivory's and BFORSE's knives prompted me to choose this Keen Kutter Cattleman's folder for my Finally Friday EDC. I think I picked this one up from AAPK member Railroad Joe.
I think this is Schrade peachseed jigging.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Not really sure what "AKC GERMANY 223" stands for but it's a good little knife.

I've often wondered if it could possibly have something to do with the "American Kennel Club" (AKC) ?
Only"AKC" that comes to mind.
But Sabre seems to have made nice knives as far as I can tell by just one knife.
Don't often see them posted around here. Anybody else have an opinion on this brand?
Or can tell me more about it's history/origins.
I kind of thought Sabre was an American brand. Or did they contract out the production itself & just sell knives?
And..., I bet I have asked all these questions before so just ignore me & I'll just forget I asked.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
And.....
The SAK that I always carry & my "Back--Up" ZIPPO. My Case ZIPPO is "Out of Order". Needs a new wick & flint stone. Try to replace those over the weekend and get it ready to go again. I'll carry this one for a week till it needs fuel, then switch back over to my Case ZIPPO. Glad I have a second EDC ZIPPO though. It does come in handy at times.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I don't throw away anything that says "Case" on it. Not even a tag off a Bandana. Could come in handy some day.
Like today. Cut it up & Pimped my RFID--CHIP for the time clock at work.
Now that's Redneck on a whole nother level right there!
"GIT-R-DONE!"
ADD: Just came up with my next great idea.
I could cut up this Case Paste box & tape it on my locker at work.

Idea correction.: I use a clipboard almost daily at work, I'll buy myself a nice clipboard & decorate the rear side of it with knife stuff. Like from the Case Paste box, knife boxes ect. because I can take the clipboard with me whenever or wherever I go but I can't take my locker with me.

How in the name of all that is holy did you find another PURINA knife Tom?
PS: I just bid on two of them on eBay but I won't get them because the price
will skyrocket above what is reasonable to me.

Hi David,
Nope, still have the same one. They are rarer than hen's teeth over here. I've never found any in Germany. I'd almost say they are impossible to find over here. I keep looking for them though.
I sure hope you can find one over there. I'll have my fingers

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
While I'd say they're rare (looks to me like they were made specifically for the German market and are completely different from ours)--it's still excessive.TPK wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 4:56 pmHi David,

Edit:Holy cow!!! I stand corrected! I just checked eBay and found not just one of them but two! Unbelievable!!!
Only problem is the price. They want €75 + €5.50 for shipping.
And I'm flat broke till next month.
After more than three years of searching for them I have finally found two & I'm broke.
Isn't that the way it goes sometimes!?!
That's the breaks I guess. You win some, you lose some.
This hurts.
Oh well, price was too high anyways.

Interesting the cell-handled penknife appears to have been sourced from Kutmaster just like the US-market ones. The gentleman's knife isn't more than about a $10 knife to me--I've been buying a bunch as EDCs at that price. They've been trying to get that for more than two years on eBay, so it's obviously much more than what it's worth.
I've been looking at an Irish-made Imperial hoof pick knife, and it's got both a Purina ad and a really nice Western scrimshaw scene. The seller wants $40, and typically the hoof picks don't sell for more than $10 new.
