If you look at the top picture the key on the right, it was used so much that they had to braze a spot that had a hole worn into it

Pfft I just searched the TTB&B RR and they had NOTHING!!

My great Uncle Vern started out as a Conductor on the venerable TTB&B and later ended up on the Santa Fe Line.

Wasn't really a RR. LOL it was part of the HE&WT line.

I just couldn't stand it. I HAD to clean it upi. It had paint and ink on the handle and was very, very dull. Now it's shavin' sharp. Anybody know where I might find a proper sheath for it? The handle is an odd shape but it really feels good in my hand.

Since to me it looks very much like a Puukko, maybe a custom form fitting sheath like they have for the Puukkos?

You just brought back a memory of a crow, a powerline, and a Pre-64 Mod 70 Winchester in 220 Swift.

One shot, center of mass, a red mist, and and explosion of black feathers, and one little crow foot hanging upside down on the line........

That gun was the ONLY gun, (besides full auto stuff but that doesn't count) that I've ever shot the barrel out on. That 220 Swift is one HOT cartridge and HELL on old barrels apparently.

When I sold it, the old boy buying it asked, "Does it shoot?".

I told him it went bang when you pulled the trigger.

Willie.....the 220 swift mod 70 with an 18 power Unertl and the 17 Rem in a 700 bdl with a 24 power where 2 of my favorite ground hog guns I also used a 52 winchester with a 15 power super target spot on em. Lots of fun !

My dad's old .22 Stevens Favorite. It's killed enough hogs, squirrels and rabbits to feed everyone on this board for a month or more.

I used to have a Stevens Favorite, traded it to something?? I've still got a Stevens Crackshot 26. Neat little gun.
