Apparently this was one of the last Junior Smith knives Josh Fisher created before being inducted as Master Smith this year. This is my favorite knife of 2021. I intend to get blood on it next Fall.

tongueriver, John, David, as always your comments are much appreciated. David your knife reveals Mr.Fisher to be a formidable master craftsman.

tongueriver, yes mine has a Hamon. But the amazing thing is that with the special sheath it can be worn comfortably, securely, and discreetly in a suit or sports jacket pocket. I have done this with no difficulty whatsoever. The blade itself is 7"; in the sheath 12 1/2".
Yet by some alchemy the there is little perception of weight. And, it can be drawn with lightning speed for those dangerous assignments we members often find ourselves in.

Very interesting knife and sheath. Very cool. For those shaky circumstances I go with 9 mm.

He asked me if I was going to use it, wants me to skin out and butcher a deer, so I will next season. I was thunderstruck that he chose so well - it is a very nice build quality as well. Never owned a Damascus steel blade before either. OH
WOW.....beautiful knife!!

Had Griz out camping with us last week. The grands love this knife!!

Garry! This is probably the nicest fixer you've posted. Some of the others are flashier, but this one is too cool! It's plain and elegant all at the same time. Toungeriver asked if it's a sharkskin handle, which would be teriffic if it is, and your later explanation of the technical sheath just ices the cake. I have a Browning bowie that came with a very complicated hard plastic sheath, but once I figured out how it works I was amazed at it's concept and versatility. Beautiful Hanwei Garry! 8)

Thank you for your observations Marco. I am fairly sure the handle is simulated shark skin. That much true sharkskin would have required a much higher price point.

I agree with you. The beauty of this knife is its overall simplicity. The sheath is metal, probably aluminum.

Hen & Rooster Bowie. H&R has, for me, a surprisingly large selection of fixed blades.

I got stung buying a bunch of counterfeit spyderco's a few years ago so I've avoided them until this one caught my eye.

Beautiful skinner Ken! ::tu:: I'm really liking the swirl covers. I wasn't aware that Spyderco even made a fixed blade knife, ::shrug:: I thought they only did folders. ::doh:: 8)

Just gorgeous Garry! ::tu:: It looks like a BIG bowie, and you know how I feel about BIG knives! ::nod:: The ram's horn covers look fabulous, and the way they integrated the lanyard to give the appearance of a bird's head pommel is somethin' special! Very nice! 8)
