Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Been carrying this Japanese Sears Craftsman Trapper today; stainless steel, same length as the Case Mini-Trapper, but heavy like the standard length trapper - good weight/length combination in my opinion. Spent four hours doing yard work, hot and humid, so a SS knife in my pocket makes sense. today.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Great looking knives guys! Since I have been sorting through my collection as I sell a bunch I came across what is most likely my all time favorite knife, the Buck 110
I have a few dozen of these ranging from the 60's to last year (my kids get me one every year for either fathers day, my b-day or Christmas). I have real MOP handled ones, nickel silver bolster and liner ones, engraved bolstered ones, finger grooved ones, etc... The only problem is that its just to darn big and heavy for a EDC, I even have expensive handmade sheaths for some but its just too darn heavy for a EDC and I am a big guy even. I love them none the less and it just might be a part of my collection that I do hang on to.
I am still carrying my GEC EO. It just cant be beat for what I need in a EDC, IN MY MIND anyway
Sorry for the rambling but I guess I am just getting bummed out having to sell a good portion of my knives.

Gino, there's many things we hate to lose or let go of but we can be thankful for what time we had them, if you know what I mean.gino wrote:Sorry for the rambling but I guess I am just getting bummed out having to sell a good portion of my knives.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I feel like my Grandpa today. I need a calming influence as I must go fight with the office about bounced pay checks....
So I put Grandpa's Schrade Old Timer 80T in my pocket. Clip is about 1/4' short and Spey don't EVEN resemble a Spey. Walk and talk on the clip is lazy, but the Sheep and Spey snap with authority!
I'll try to come back and put a picture up. If I do it before 8-10 hours pass that AIN'T good!

Ya might be on the right track Charlie??? This is a rare knife, Case XX U.S.A. 62131 Circa Jan.1st,1966 No dots on this one !
According to Steve's and other books, this may have been a pilot run from1964-1965.
Bought it early this year from a lady near me who was selling off her husband's Case collection,(valued over $45,000.00)he passed away in 2010 from a long illness. I still buy from her today.

Phillip, that Bear is a fine looking Barlow. You remind me that I need to own a Bear product - best start looking around - got to support our USA makers.

Nice B&S barlow Phillip
I have several B&S/MGC, trappers and stockman patterns in bone and stag. I need to get a barlow. I am in the process of getting one of each in the genuine india stag line, when the price is right. Not sure if they are investment knives but i don't really care, i like 'em and edc an early 4" stockman.
They have a new 4 1/2" big stogie whittler that looks sweeeet. Just waiting to get a deal on one.

Hope the boss is back and so is your money, Dave.
Things like that can create serious problems for the workin' man in the economy we have right now!
Meanwhile, since we've been talking about Bear MGC..........here's a pic of my "Sunday go to meeting" Bear.....pearl handled peanut:
