Carried this old Imperial Navy EO yesterday; made up a box by cutting pieces of cardboard to ship some knives with it, great, sharp old blades in this knife. Dropping it in my pocket again this morning - heading out to get my wife's car serviced.

Hey Squatch, very cool that you have your grandpa's old knife, that is fantastic! I have that same knife, same handles, pins, bolsters, shield, blades... except mine doesn't have a tang stamp, and I always assumed it was a Colonial! What does it say below KENT on your gramp's knife?

Nice S&M Gino! ::tu:: I'm headed to a family reunion up country today. I'll be carrying these two plus the SAK classic in my WP and the Gerber multi-plyers on my belt.

ironmage -- I can't think of anyone here who would make fun of that knife.

This S&M Whittler is a big favorite of mine. I only carry it on Sundays around the house. It was mint when I bought it about 12 years ago but the very nice stag was dry and brittle. I knew if I dropped it it was sure to crack. Soaked it in mineral oil for a coupe of days. It came back smooth and beautiful. I believe it was made around 1980 but if any of you can give me a better time frame I'd appreciate it.

Well I am gonna see if this 73 can drag me away from my EO for a while. I have this one with me today and the fact it locks is a major factor in me using it.

Hey guys, I'm posting this for TAB, he can't get to his computer to post the photo so here is his Sunday go to Meetin' kife from Texas by way of Kentucky!

He can chime in and tell you more about it, but here's what he sent me. It's a Case stainless peanut with mother of pearl scales from 2008. The best part was that it was given to him by his wife on their wedding day!!!!

A great knife with an awesome story from a first rate guy, enjoy fellers!

I received this little 3 1/2" Buck Creek stag whittler a few mos. back as a gift. I haven't carried it much. I did take it along on a recent camping trip and put it through the paces whittling big sticks into little ones and I must say it did it's job well. It gets and stays very sharp. After quite a bit of whittlin' the blades stayed tight and true. Overall it's a pretty solid little knife and has recived a spot in the rotation. The two back springs are tapered instead of the split design. The fit/finish and over all quality is a B+ IMO.

***EDIT*** I am fully aware of the asian influence on the Buck Creek line. I don't buy 'em but when they are gifted to ya you have to at least cut something with them and say thanks. The buyer/gifter had no idea of tha asian influence and who am I to put the kibash on good intensions ::shrug::

Cutty,

When are the tomatoes ready? Growing some early girls and romas here, got a little longer before they're ready. Nice looking blade.

Thanks to the colonel for posting my edc for Sunday. My iPhone won't let me post pics to aapk. Doh!
