Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Thanks.
Yup. CV.
CV, SS - doesn't really matter to me. Mostly just opening boxes and envelopes, and the occasional tie strap. Once I get 'em sharp, it's real easy with the Lansky Turnbox 2D2C to keep 'em sharp with just a touch up on the ceramic rods.

One of my memories of my grandfather was his folding fish knife that he used to cut bait. Nobody knows what happened to his but I have his boat. My kids and I take it out at least a couple times a year even though we have a bigger newer one. I decided to get a new case to have in the old lund.

That's a great picture! I didn't think there was water like that in Iowa, always think of Iowa as a place for big whitetails and corn fields. ::shrug::
My dad was a fisherman and like a dummy, I traded his last boat for a rifle but I did keep his knives. :)

Very cool. Your Grandfather had great taste in Boats. A lot of times, that's what hobbies are all about. Refreshing old memories or making new ones. Nice knife. Now make some new memories with the kids. ::tu::

We have a few decent lakes but that is actually Northern Minnesota. My grandpa first found that lake in 1929. (Pretty sure he was on a booze run!) 90% of the shoreline is owned by the Boy scouts so it will never be populated. My granddaughter is the fifth generation now. So glad all 5 of my kids enjoy spending time with us up there. Last year was the first year since 1960 my folks didn't make it because of my dad's health. Must of got something in my eye writing this they're starting to water dang it.

Just got this Case 6225 1/2. Impulse buy on ebay. Nice knife but a little small for my taste. I should do more research before I buy. ::doh:: Oh well. I will look for a larger Jack knife.

It is a pretty sweet color though. Not too hard of an impulse buy to live with. Nice oops!
