It came with a stout leather sheath that fits snugly over the blade. The sheath is 'older' but probably not original. Back 100 or more years ago some (many ?) Scandinavian knives did not come with a sheath. These knives were not specifically made for outdoor use. They were often used in the kitchen or workshop. Nice! That has to be among the oldest surviving Mora-type knives out there, let alone in that condition. Probably the nicest survivor there is.

Hence i do not know if it was originally sold with a sheath or not. I wonder if there ever was a ORR & Lockett catalog ?

The stamp on the guard puts the knife as having been made in 1973 to 1976. But after getting the green pasty crud off with some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel, I just wiped it down with some soft leather and a soft cloth. Then a little wood wax on the handle good to go. In the past I would throw a little metal polish on the steel and brass and really clean it up, patina and all. But this one had some character I didn't want to alter. You can tell on the blade where the patina ended, and didn't go all the way. You can see the finger guard had more develop probably from finger oils and sticks out and gets in stuff. Scratches on the wood and pommel. I just left them there so you can see where and what was affected more or less. Mostly just removed the crud. More info to be gleaned from it than if I polished all that out. Anywho, Here's some pics. Great knife, so happy with the construction and quality build. Feels great in hand. Like the look too. Here's the before and after.
