Agree totally on that view! I saw some pretty country in Arizona when I was OTR.
Never saw much of California except near LA.

That looks like a museum worth visiting, great pics. This picture of the backyard from Friday morning. Had a light fog and made for some interesting lighting.

I've been searching through penny rolls. Usually if anything other than US pennies it would be Canadian pennies. Was pleased to find this in a recent roll.

Looks like a tree that fell over long ago, exposing the root ball. Rain and wind have removed the dirt and the roots have aged and been worn smooth.

I thought it looked like a tree that swallowed a bunch of moose and their racks were still sticking out, but I'll go with what Charlie said.

I guess we both do, she does most of the planting , I do just about all the mainteance, but it's a mutual love of growing things. We are trying to cut back as the work is getting to be a little much.
