I'm not trying to rain on anybody's prarade, the knife is beautiful but it worries me. Hope it the real deal, these are not even though the bone is.

If it makes you feel any better Homer, I had one that looked almost exactly like that one years ago. The bone had the same coloration, and jigging.
If I had to bet, I'd say you have the real deal. I wish I had kept mine, but I traded it at a show for a nice old 1974 Case 6231 1/2. I do still have that one!
I think you have a keeper there.

My newest acquisitions. A birthday gift to myself.
Though they are both “cheap Chinese junk”, they look good and are very well made. The build quality, fit & finish and the walk & talk are equal to, maybe better than Marbles, Rough Riders and the Chinese Queens. The price was also comparable to the aforementioned brands.
I guess one man’s rubbish really is another man’s “treasure”.
