Nice set!

I have the Miming that I use as a steak knife and parer. Gotta have the best ergonomics of any knife I've got in the block. Been looking for more of them--namely those like the Shorty and Pixie that have more use as general-purpose utility knives. I seem to recall Gerber marketed the Pixie as a Bird and Trout, even though it's main use was as a steak knife. Noticed more than a few Pixies cheap on eBay, so I don't see why I shouldn't buy a few and make my own sheaths. As hunting knives, they're hard to find, especially with original sheaths. As kitchen knives--very affordable. Found a set that included the French Chef, Durendal, and Pixie at a price I could afford. The French Chef should work better for chopping and general use than the big Henckels that I really ought to sell--while the Pixie and Durendal are going to be fishing knives. . I mostly just use a Dexter-Russell Gadsden skinner in the kitchen.

I've been looking at the Heretic Jinn since they first hit the market and finally decided to pull the trigger and it's exceeded all of my expectations. This knife is a sleek and sophisticated for Heretic's first slip joint with a slim handle profile, a 2.875" blade and comes standard with a reversible pocket clip. ::tu::
