Yes! It’s my first one that is an ‘obvious opener’. I have several with rounded paddles. I’ve read they are paper folders and openers.

I really like it. It is beefy and built like a tank compared to my entire ring turn collection (over 220 now) It is also way bigger than any of my collection of ring turn knives.

Whoohoo! And Yeeeehaw!!! Finally - scored this Faux turtle shell, Granton Midget, Fruit ring turn knife! I have hunted one for several years...
Did my occasional search and scored 'the one'! This one is shipping to me from York, United Kingdom.

Granton was founded in 1601 & has been a premier Sheffield cutler for over 400 years.

The Granton Edge was patented in 1929 & features the offset scallop ground blade loved by professional chefs worldwide.

It extends the cutting length of the blade, allows it to slide smoothly without the “catch” of normal serrated blades & takes a superb edge.

This piece is the very rare “Midget” folder retailed from 1930 to around 1938.

Now I have a collection going of these!

Found my first ring opener pen knife.
I told my mom about it, now she wants to have it. Says she needs a pen knife she can open without breaking her nails. Shouldn't have told her about it. Oh well, guess I'll give it to her but I'd like to get myself a Lansky & sharpen it before I send it. Plus I'm waiting for the Lufthansa planes to start flying again so the postage costs from here to the US get back to normal.

Anyways, thought I'd show you guys before I part with it. It has advertising for "Nugget Shoe Cream" on it.
The stamp reads "C. F. KAYSER SOLINGEN". Thanks for looking!
