Thank ya Floyd!!

Thanks. It is a perfect and fitting gift for me.Kimzilla wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:21 pmThat's a very cool bomb you were on the receiving end of! I read the included invoice and noticed that the email address was for Garry Moore. It was almost an anonymous bombing run. A quick check with Gary Kennedy and my suspensions were confirmed. That sly Quick Steel was behind it all. A Boker Great American Story, Buffalo Bill & Sitting Bull muskrat commemorative. What a sweet knife and a total surprise. Thanks Garry for your generosity. Also included was a Wrangler knife pick/nail file. 20230818_151613.jpg20230818_151843.jpg20230818_151918.jpg20230818_152019.jpg

You got leveled Q!!!QTCut5 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 2:45 am As some of you have noticed, I've been doing a little "herd thinning"' lately in order to get my wildly overgrown collection back down to a more manageable size. I am very grateful to those of you who have kindly assisted me in this Herculean endeavor by purchasing some of my knives; you've been very helpful.
However, there are a few others on this forum who apparently became concerned that I was selling off way too many knives and foolishly depleting my strategic knife reserves. Consequently, these very generous individuals felt the need to take matters into their own hands and personally keep my knife tanks topped up to the maximum level lest I completely run out of knives and experience a serious and potentially irreversible case of knife withdrawal (a malady no one should ever have to witness a fellow knife collector suffer!)
One of these gentlemen requested that his identity remain confidential, so all I feel authorized to reveal about him is that he lives in a very big southwestern state and is one of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet. Although, truth be told, I've never actually met him, per se, but I do feel as if I know him like an old friend simply through our exchanges over the years right here on AAPK.![]()
Clearly he knows of my penchant for ivory as well as my proclivity for collecting mini trappers.
This ivory Bulldog Brand Mini Trapper bomb came from him.P9170017.JPG

As if that weren't enough, I was bombed by yet another very generous member who obviously understands my love of ivory as well as my Wharncliffe fetish. This member lives in the Pacific Northwest, is famous for his fondness of GECs and, ironically, is a man whose username also contains the name of my favorite handle material.![]()
This brand spanking new GEC #34 Unicorn Ivory Acrylic bomb came from himP9170020.JPGP9170021.JPG
Since I am still in shock and rendered speechless, all I can do is mouth the word "Wow" over and over as I shake my head in disbelief.
After a double-barreled bomb blast like this, it's truly a wonder and a miracle that I even survived to tell the tale. BIG MAHALOS to both of you for these incredible bombs. You guys never cease to amaze me with your kindness and extreme generosity.![]()
Thanks, MarkSharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 11:25 pm Bought a Buck whittler kit from Olde Cutler and he included this South Dakota walnut and apple wood pen. It’s made so that you can insert a new BIC pen into it when the old one wears out. This will be easy for me to find on my desk, seems like I am always misplacing my pen when I am working in the office. Thank you Jim.
Mark, congrats on the pen. OC certainly has that skill down. I've had one for several years now and it's still wonderful to use.Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 11:25 pm Bought a Buck whittler kit from Olde Cutler and he included this South Dakota walnut and apple wood pen. Congrats Kim, beautiful knife. Love the blade and stamp. That's Q for you, always throwing in an extra. What a guy and nice knife he sent.
