Got a different style fish knife from the Bay in the mail today, to further feed my appetite for Japan made knives.
Good deal at $13.49 w/shipping & tax.

The sheath I don't believe to be original, but the knife fits very well.

I scored this beauty from Mark of SSK. Canal Street muskrat. Thanks Mark, stellar customer service as usual. It's my 4th purchase from Mark and the 5th is on its way. Buy with confidence. I'm a sucker for ACSB.

Glad you like it Rick. ACSB is an absolutely beautiful handle material. Canal Street had some of the best.

Truthfully ACSB is the prettiest in my book although there are some Mammoth scales that blow me away too. Even as nice as some stag is, ACSB is the bomb. I mean look at this Moki, also from SSK. I just sit and admire it!

I got this Western Hunter in the mail today, fished out of the shallow end of the Bay. It has obviously outgassed, and someone plugged the lanyard hole with JB Weld.
My first thought was to use the Clip blade out of it and redo this Western that I finished a few weeks back, which had a broken main.
But the blade on this new one has been shortened, and the tang stamp is completely worn away.
I think that I may just do a blade delete and rehandle on it instead. Or I have some Schrade folding Hunter blades - I may just create a Frankenknife.
Any suggestions?

Now that's a good looking knife, John, right down to the color and my style blade, is it too much to hope it has only the single blade? ::shrug:: ::pray::
So simple yet truly elegant, congratulations on being the owner of that beauty. ::handshake::

Fine looking Case Dave! ::tu::
RDN ... I like the Case and the Big Marbles! ::tu::

This one came yesterday:
Rigid RG14 ... 5" Closed ... 8 5/8" OAL ... Made in Japan
This knife features a unique liner lock. By sliding the thumb tab on the bolster up, as pictured, the liner lock will be free to move. Next, you depress the shield inward, which moves the liner over to disengage the blade. If the bolster tab is in the down position, the liner is locked, for safety while using. The shield will not depress. These and the RG15 model were also made with "Operation Desert Storm" on the blade, and were serial numbered.
