You need a hanger off the belt for that one Scott. I've looked at those. They're a handfull. I like the bead you have on the lanyard. Looks familiar. :D

Thanks for the additional information Paul! ::handshake:: I see you're in the U.K., and that being the case are you not burdened with a bunch of ridiculous knife laws just like me here in Canada? ::shrug:: I ask because of your comment regarding "flicking" your knife open, and my understanding was that knives like that are prohibited over there, again, just like Canada. Of course, I still buy whatever I like, but am sure to not have a knife on me when I go out, so I simply enjoy my knives at home. Thanks, Mark! 8)
Mark the Schrade 503 isnt intended as a flick or gravity knife but is possible with holding down the button and a flick of the wrist , all the knives in the pic I use while in my shed, but daily edc knife is a slipjoint with a blade under 3inches , if you have good reason to carry a fixed blade or lock knife ie camping or needed as part of your job that's ok ::tu::
Thanks for that info Paul. Here in Canada, when attempting to import ANY knife, Customs x-ray's the package and if it contains a gun or a knife it's put to the side for secondary inspection. When doing said inspection they put it through a bunch of tests to see if it can be "flicked" open, and not only from the completely closed position. They are allowed to open the knife using 2 hands up to about 50% open, and then attempt to "flick" it open the rest of the way to the locked position. If they can accomplish this, they seize it as a "gravity" knife. The only knives that are NOT prohibited are true slip-joints and fixed blades. From what you've told me it sounds like you're well within your rights. The really silly part of all this is, that there is minimal knife crime in Canada, yet Customs is going after knives with a vengeance, and, there are many available knives that can be "flicked" open that are already here and being sold in stores everyday. Seems to me they'd accomplish far more if they applied the same strict standards to all the handguns and drugs that are flooding into the country and killing it's citizens, but I guess that would make too much sense! Sorry to vent, the entire situation just upsets me to no end! 8)
It's crazy isnt it Mark , our knife and gun laws are very strict and these days in the uk you would probably get a legal knife confiscated as most police would see it as a weapon and some dont know the laws correctly, it's another reason I like carrying old slipjoints as less offensive looking and nicer of course lol , knife crime hasnt been good in the uk for a few years , but they should concentrate on sorting the core issues than banning and doing restrictive laws , I've carried a pocket knife since 1980 when I was 10 and to me as many it's a daily tool not a weapon.

Yes it certainly is a shame that all us knife collectors or just simply knife enthusiasts are penalized due to the criminal activities of a handful of individuals who will use a knife as a weapon, and not as a tool like what was intended, and if they can't get a knife they'll use a screwdriver, sharpened nail, hammer, rock or anything else that's available, because the problem is the person, not the object in their hand, but try getting that through to a government with a closed mind, it's just not gonna happen. Oh well, ces' la vie! 8)

It’s neat to not just carry a good knife but also have that history in your pocket.

Don't worry Scott, it's not that one.
A new Champ will set you back not quite that much. I think 88 clams are a bit easier to swallow, then 6,000 smackers.

Either I rain on your party Scott, or save you the knife...
