Jerry nice 72 Scout,
Cato excellent Catt jack
Johnnie R. that's a fine trio of Scout knives
Rain or not i went to schomy's show and was pleased to see a seller that i don't see often enough. He had about a dozen rolls or more. Found a Shapleigh Hdwe DE stockman that spoke to me.

Hey Guys, great thread and a bunch of cool knives and posts. If you start from page one it takes a long time to get thru.
Mailman brought this last week. CASE 1971/9 dot Cheetah 5111-1/2LSSP. I also have a CASE 1971/9 dot Cheetah 5111-1/2L. Only 1700 made of both variations. Glad to own one of each.
Good thread, keep it going. Thanks, Jerry

Nice knives, guys!
After seeing that #85 GEC club knife with the cap lifter (from the "other" website), I have been wanting something similar (yes, I am kicking myself for not getting one).
I have picked these two up this year....an Iroquois (Utica) with bone handles - circa 1920-1940.
And a 4-line Camillus with composite handles....I think it dates to WWII - 1941-1946.

I just got these two Schrade Barlows in a trade with Dale. They are the first Schrades in my collection. Thank you Dale!

I have one of the Camillus 4 lines. In the 1946 catalog, they called that an "Army Post Exchange Resale Knife". I'm currently carrying it and I like it so much I have saved searches for some of the other tang stamps with which they were made. Thanks for posting those. I didn't know about the Iroquois brand.Unk wrote:Nice knives, guys!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This mint Schrade 863, open stock whittler came in today's mail; I've been trying to add a few whittler and a few open stock Schrades to my collection - this one checked both boxes. I won it off a gun auction site about 2-1/2 weeks ago (the gun auction sites take much longer than e-Bay to get your product due to not having Paypal, having to mail USPMO's, etc.) At any rate I was pleased to finally get to see it today.

The same mail delivery truck that brought the Schrade pictured above also brought this Frontier. Funny thing, I bought this one off e-Bay two days ago (the 12th) using the "buy it now" option and Paypal to pay immediately - knife got here in two days - now that is fast! I have a smaller Frontier that I use as one of my main EDC's, but this one is new, came with the original 1976 era box, and black Delrin handles. On the prowl for an equally nice Old Cutler by Colonial now.

Not to forget my manners - thanks for the compliments. The Barlow's shown (Schrade's and Robeson) are very nice. Jerry I like the Army PX knife - going to have to find one of those now - it just never ends!

Damn Colonel! Gun auction sites, eh? Would you mind PMing a few URLs or are they your secret hunting sites? I just got outbid on an #863 this past Friday night on eBay.Old Hunter wrote:This mint Schrade 863, open stock whittler came in today's mail; I've been trying to add a few whittler and a few open stock Schrades to my collection - this one checked both boxes. I just picked up a Camillus #80 yesterday off eBay. For anyone who doesn't know, that's the deluxe model of the #72 which has milled liners. I'll be doin' the pee-pee dance until it gets here. I am definitely hooked on these Carpenter's Whittlers.
Edit: Before I forget my manors, congratulations on your 863 Colonel. It's a beauty.
