Great Pick-Ups everyone!
Here are a couple I recently received in the mail.
Jake Elenbaas custom 4 3/8" closed Gents Linerlock with Mammoth Ivory scales, Damascus blade, anodized titanium liners, black G-10 bolsters and thumbstud with orange stone inlay.
Otter-Messer Solingen Germany Wharncliffe "Bomb" received from "QTCut5". Thanks again for your generosity, Q.

The thumbstud inlay gives it that extra something special. Very nice knife.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This came from Moore Maker. MM still sends out knives with hand-addressed mailers, which I appreciate.
This knife features Torched White Bone and a pocket clip. It has studs on both sides of the blade plus a spine flipper. Liner lock. Overall, the build quality is very nice.
I have no idea who built this for MM.

Very nice Ken . Been looking at the Rose craft products and thinking about getting a flipper like that . Does it have a pocket clip?

I think the oblong opening with the 2 holes in it at the bottom by the lanyard hole, J.P., would indicate a removeable pocket-clip that can be positioned on either side of the knife.
There's a few companies that include a small metal plate the screws into the opening on whatever side the clip isn't for esthetic purposes.

Well it wasn't the one coming from New Zealand but I'm happy with this RoseCraft single blade.
The ad describes it as the "Cane Creek Jack, a coffin coke bottle pattern, D2 clip point blade with heavy swedging, a half stop, and a brushed satin finish. The covers are multi-colored, layered G10 with brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, and nickel silver pins. The rear bolster on the show side features the Locking RC logo etch. It’s 3.5″ closed, 6.2″ overall, and weighs just 2.2oz. Designed by Andy Armstrong."
I don't know all the technical stuff about knives like many of you do but IMHO this is a very nicely made knife. It feels good however I think it's a little more than 2.2oz and the blade is rather tight. All surfaces fit together almost seamlessly and are perfectly flush. This is an excellent EDC pocket knife.

I'm definitely starting to very much like those Castorea's from Rosecraft, just like yours, Tony! That big fat spear-point blade seals the deal for me.
Your trio of new Bucks ain't too shabby either, all in black and all with drop-point blades, not a clip-point blade in sight, not too shabby at all!

Many thanks Marco! Buck Knives are my weakness ... have more of them than any others. Like the bigger knives in black with drop points also.Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 11:12 pm I'm definitely starting to very much like those Castorea's from Rosecraft, just like yours, Tony!
