From left to right, Wostenholm, Woodhead, Dickinson, Celebrated Cutlery, Burdekin, last two can't make out right now.

The last one has a knob in the guard, don't know if that is original or not but it looks like it could be used to hold it in the sheath ::nod::

G-dog, I have nothing to offer other than to say it sure looks like a Western to me. I wonder if Western ever made unmarked knives for the government.

Thanks Ken, ::handshake:: in the Western section of this site (AAPK) there are pictures of a handguard stamped Bowie as well. I just can't figure out how the stamping is not there IF it is a true western ... other than being used for a Gov't contract for the "spooks" ::shrug::

Or, it may have been a "lunch box" knife.
But then I guess it would have been stamped before it was hardened and finish ground and sharpened.

👍 🙂 Nice! I've become a Puma fan lately.
Looks like that one may have been made in Germany.

David, I would forget about trying to haul off that big old Bowie knife ::skeptic:: ... ::hmm:: ... after closer analysis of the picture with my sophisticated computer equipment, ::paranoid:: I noticed the makers mark stamped on the tang.... ::uc:: at a higher resolution it turns out that knife might not be worth the trouble strapping it to the top of your car.... :(
