Joe, Roger, thank you. Joe, I've had the one without the bail for a few years, added the one with the bail this week, happy to get it as it seems most bails on knives like this were taken off.

Here is a Bay State and a Hammer Brand.

Bay State is 2 7/8"
Hammer Brand is 3 1/4"

Lee, thanks, I can't recall seeing another, don't really remember seeing that many plain wood jacks from Winchester at all.

Here's another Boys knife I have never shown - Eagle Knife Co New Haven Conn - Easy Open Boys knife ... This was a kind gift of a friend that was and still is much appreciated despite the knife being in fairly poor condition - spring is shot, blade well sharpened with no snap but will stay closed if I push it down twice

- seriously!! However this is my only Eagle Knife Co knife from a company that existed between 1916-1919 before being acquired by Winchester to initiate cutlery production. Eagle was known for high production and affordable knives and I think this knife was a prime example with black compo handles and rather simple less expensive design.. I am not sure if Eagle ever made any high end fancy knives

... I have never seen another Eagle knife .. Interesting that the tang stamp noted patent pending
