Re: A CHALLENGE for you.
A confused "Challenge" knife. I suppose they couldn't decide which stamp to use on this knife. Very readable C.M McClung & Co Knoxville, Tenn. Maybe another stamping on it also but I cant figure it out, Probably Just not struck correctly & they tried a couple times to get it right, lol. At least we know Challenge did make CM McClung knives & If not mistaken so did Miller bros.
Most challenge knives dont have this stamping as you guys know, Looks pretty wild huh!!
Cool knife too me as you guys know I love the ODD ball stuff
Kindest Regards,
Mark

Re: A CHALLENGE for you.
I have almost exactly that except for the short pull on the blade which is rarer?
Re: A CHALLENGE for you.

I saw your knife LDF, it's very nice.
The knives are quite similar.
A Challenge is a great knife.

Couple of beauties Joe, the serpentine mop is something else.

Nice "Sunday go to Meeting" knife Joe. I'm guessing that one sat in a drawer 6 days a week. ____Dave

I am a fan of swell center whittlers, especially when clad in the sleek look of Ebony. 3 1/2"

Ike, that one is a jewel indeed. Beautiful knife. I'm partial to swell centers as well.

Lovely Whittler Ike
... I have heard that pattern called a balloon whittler and I assume due to the larger balloon-like bolster at the master blade.. very very nice example !!

That is a real beauty and I'm sure it is as sound as any Challenge knife.
Good catch, Ike.
