Wow Jerry, that’s a heck of a story. I’m sure he could do a lot of damage at 140lbs. When dogs get in that feral mode, it’s scary. You just simply can’t forget that they are a wild animal under the right circumstances. My Bristol is a small critter hunting master. When she comes up with a mole or chipmunk that she just killed, it’s dangerous to try and take it from her. 99% of the time she is sweet and loving but when she gets in that feral state she is dangerous, all dogs can be. I still wouldn’t trade any of them for anything.
Hope you are healing up well. That incident must have been crazy to live through.

Not sure if this qualifies as a “pet” or not. I was in one of the sheds yesterday, this one isn’t finished out inside (no ceiling) and used mostly for storage of equipment, etc. On the way out I looked up, and saw I was being watched by one of the barn cats.

Having owned Black Labs, I know from personal experience that offering a new toy to a playful breed gets about the same reaction as waving a T-bone in their face. My hands never looked quite that bad though.

Great critters and chat ya all.

Bear takes several long hour .sessions to rake him out. He actually enjoys it, knowing end result.

Bear hair. Drop in a 5 gallon bucket. Compressed, lack of visible scale and all, it is about size of softball. Just a dent, but mostly done.

Birds love the nesting material and go wild.

Jerry that’s about how much fur I get from Girl Scout. She is blowing her undercoat badly right now. I love watching the birds gather it up for nesting material. They find it in minutes when I rake her out in the yard.

Beautiful dogs fellers, we had a husky/Akita mix breed that shed 365 days a year, sometimes worse than others but it never stopped. When we got her as a puppy the boss sez she the color of a magnolia blossome that was her handle mostly used when she was bad, otherwise Maggie for short.

Our dog my wife brought home from a rescue as a puppy. We named her Pearl. We found out she's deaf but smarter than a dog should be and a sweetheart.

What a nice looking dog Doug. Sometimes I wish my three didn’t hear so well, especially when the UPS or Fed Ex truck rolls up.
Good to see someone else rescuing dogs. 3 of my 4 have been rescues and 3 that died before were also rescues.

Interesting looking and beautiful dog Eustace.

My wife took this photo a few days ago of our pack. Moki in the front with Bristol on the left, Tucker in the middle and Girl Scout on the right. Moki is about 1 year and 4 months old now. Tucker is 12 going on 13 and the white face on what use to be an all black face shows his age. All these dogs, except Moki, were rescues we welcomed into our home.
The rest are shots of Scout and Moki playing in the house. One thing about Golden Retrievers is that they never out grow their puppy playfulness. Girl Scout is about 8 years old now and she plays just as hard or harder than Moki.
Yes that is a Mr. Bill doll over by the curtain, Ohhh Noooooooo!

Sweet!! Cute Luna.
Back in the day we had a kitty that did the same. We had a place set for her. She would pick up the food off her plate with her paw and eat. Whiskey was her name. 😍
