Indeed if it's a quartz watch or Eco Drive they are all within a maximum of 7-9 seconds from one another. Not a single one of them runs absolutely perfect.
However the Casio I am wearing seems to be pretty close to perfect.
And the Timex run pretty well too.

Reminds me of the Bulova Accutron I bought on Okinawa on the way home from Viet Nam. Guaranteed to be accurate within a minute a month. It held it's time. I checked with WWV. Excellent for the late '60s. My house was broken into in the '90s and the watch was taken.

I too bought a Bulova Accutron. I used to joke that I enjoyed calling radio stations and telling them their time was in error. Like yours, mine was stolen.

I just did an adjust for inflation and that watch cost me $700 in 2016 dollars. In 1966 the Accutrons started at $125. I got that one at the PX for $93. It was a great watch.

I'm glad to see that "they" are not responsible for any vehicle fires...regardless of whether it's partial or total. Got all the bases covered. ::sneaky::

In the background it looks like the school I used to teach at in CA...except the signs by my former school actually said it was illegal for parolees or convicted felons to possess firearms or "conduct business" within 500 feet of the school. I guess that explains why (some of) the drug dealers, prostitutes and pedophiles who came to drop off or pick up kids from school were unarmed. ::hmm::

WOW. You do live in "Paradise" -Q-
Head Hunters? No wonder there's no Hells Angles in Hawaii. ::paranoid::

You probably wouldn't like it Tommy, it has sugar in it. Not a lot but some.

Looks good Jerry. All you need now is a big ole pot of beans. And/or some "serp"! ::tu::

Ken, I may throw on a pot of beans tomorrow. I froze the leftover cornbread so it's still fresh. Then I could make some rice to dump in the leftover beans. I could get some pork steaks to fry up and go with the beans & rice. Mmmm. Looks like there's a plan coming together. With very little effort, I could be eating like a king for a pretty good spell. ::nod:: (Might even throw together another pan of cornbread)

An old, well used spur. It could probably tell some interesting stories.

Spurs: People must collect those too. There must be a rich history in North and South America in spurs.

Helped a friend put in a new floor on a house that's about 130 years old. When the old flooring was removed some really old newspapers were found. Here are a couple samples. All were circa 1920 and 1921.
