OC, that is a great picture. We had a tuxedo rescue named Jack and then we adopted a female named Penny. They went through that round of hissing and spitting for awhile too. Before long Penny was cozying up to Jack for naps. They napped together for over 15 years. Sorry to say we lost them both last year. Your picture brings back fond memories.

Great pic OC. I have two of each, cats and dogs. They are everything to me.
Bear at the bar for one beer again on way back from the walk. Bad influence. They do sure love his antics while there. Hind leg stand belly up. Priceless!

Garry my friend, Funny you say that. He is is quite the rockstar here.
People ask me in town, "where's Bear" if he isn't with me.
He is quite the celebrity around here.
We post up in the coffee shop drive thru, no car.
He hops up on window for his whip cream. Funny sight. People trip out.
This dog is a handful and a hoot.
Blessed.

Thanks Kim. I told you he has a massive head. Personally, never seen nothing like it and in awe everytime I see him.

Pumpkin head. His nickname.

Took a few of Moki over the last few days. It must be a Golden thing but he along with Scout and my old Kobi all choose to sleep on flat hard surfaces. We have 4 dog beds in the house and this is where he sleeps the most, right by the speaker for our TV. I think the hard floor surfaces are cooler than a dog bed and that might be why Goldens choose this over other places, just my theory. The second picture is of Moki just sitting on the couch with my wife in the background doing computer work. He has grown a lot since the picture on the bottom was taken right after we got him in April of this year.

Classic innocence in that puppy pic when you got him. That is unbreakable and can't be taken away. Fan of that!

He will probably grow a little bit more. I don’t think he is going to be as big as my Kobi was, he was over 90 lbs. He doesn’t seem to be growing nearly as fast now as he did in the first 3 months.

Well if NORAD ever went dark, I have the dog for them.

Bear.

Absolutely anything that flies (except small birds that try to steal his food, he just deals with it himself) gets a mild bark alert. Even a jet with con trail way off at 30,000 feet. He is not a fan of drones, large birds, etc. They had balloon races
fly over the house and he came uncorked.

Sat with him during the October eclipse so he didn't burn his eyes out. He is that obsessed with things in the sky.

Please! ~30,000 feet. Tell me is there is a threat at 3000, 300 feet. We will choose which one of us deals with it. 30 or 3 feet, he better have dealt with it already.

No lie, alerts at this...

Not my pet but I’ve been pet sitting with Minnie since 11/30 with a few more days to go

We’ve enjoyed evenings listening to owls

And late afternoon naps enjoying the coastal breeze

Minnie’s been my shadow for the past 4 days and has great energy and strength for a 13 year old Golden

But best of all are the walks on the beach visiting other dogs and people

She’s been great therapy for me, I’m grateful for the opportunity.

Tom those pictures are precious. Makes me miss my Kobi. He got white faced like that in his later years. Even looks the same sleeping as Kobi. I miss him still 3 years later.

Jerry, that is interesting about the flying objects. My Golden Retrievers are sensitive to birds in flight but never get excised about jets, except the National Guard Jets that fly over at low altitude on training missions about once a month, those F-18’s are loud. Not as loud as the old F-4 Fantoms that flew over for decades but still enough to make them all run for cover.
Now buzzards are a whole topic by themselves. All but one of our dogs will chase and bark at buzzards. Dogs never cease to entertain.

Not sure what was going on with Luna last night. Too much cat nip or spiked egg nog? 🤭

Out and about today with the dogs. Caught Scout, on the left, and Moki on the right, playing in the leaves again. Then these two came in and laid down together in the kitchen for a nap. These two have really bonded. I think that Goldens recognize something Golden in the other dog. Before we lost Kobi, another Goldern, he and Scout would lay down back to back and sleep. They seemed to find a peace with each other.

Great pics guys.

Rueger was helping me out in the shop this morning. He has a lot more energy than I do. Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

Good looking dog Mike.

Is it my imagination or have his colors morphed a bit? Handsome fella regardless...

Hi Jerry, yes, he has gotten a lot darker as he has aged. Here's some pics of when we first got him back in April. He turned 11 months old this week.
