Mail on a Sunday! Picked up this Schrade Electrician for sentimental reasons and it’s pretty rough functionally but sure nice to look at.

Got this one off eBay last year and decide to send it off to get the blade repaired and just got it back. It looks great and though not all original it’s a nice piece.

That's the oddest thing C-W, I was looking at a copy of your knife last night on ebay, and I hadn't seen one prior to that, and now the next day I see yours. Must be fate!
Yours is in better condition than the copy I saw though.

Got this finally in the mail, since it has been going back and forth from the east coast to the west coast a couple of times, till it decided to stop in Kentucky. I am in the middle of a move and will touch it up when I get me shop up and running. It has a little bit of glue on two blades or it's a booger. Sword & Shield made in Germany I picked it up for a song or I might say a booger it is in great shape and all blades have a great snap

Don'tcha just hate those packages that do totally unnecessary sight-seeing across the country before deciding to come to you, Theo?
It was certainly worth it though to get that knife!

Sort of back burner wanted a BM Proper for years. Just recently noticed they were really going up in price. Saw one a year or two ago for a hundred and ten and if memory serves, one for about ninety-six. Not anymore. So to avoid paying even more than that or what I would like, bit the bullet. Coincidently happened when I wasn't buying knives too, so imagine my surprise. Love the feel of the canvas though. Threw in a Fox Livri cause they kind of looked similar.

Cheers! Same here … now I’m going to be obsessing about finding something similar that’s in carryable condition. (Main blade wobbles pretty bad on this one and not sure I’m up to a Swinden key conversion, or that I’d want to risk damaging it, since it looks kind of perfect right now.(I think I understand this is the Swinden key thing.) Screwdriver side locks up tight, though.)

Iman, the micarta makes them almost look like a matched set. I notice the Fox Livri has no nail nick. Not needed with plenty of exposed blade to get hold of.

My first electrician pattern but not going to be my last. Thinking of looking for a user and starting to research what a good one would be.

The Camillus 27 is a good one. They are built like tanks, a lot of them are still around, and prices are sane for the most part (last I checked, anyway). Also search for "Channellock Knife" and "Xcelite Knife" if you decide to hunt for a 27.

I'm going to 2nd that on the Camillus 27! I have picked up several in the past for $20 or less and they a real workhorses a 27 is at the top of EDC rotation shelf.

Thanks — I just hit “buy” on one … for about $20. It’s a Camillus but doesn’t have a bail, so I’m wondering if it’s a true 27 or just 27-like (the rest of it looks like the 27 pattern to me), but I’ll post a picture when it gets here.

I suspect it is a true #27, the bail will come off sometimes under rough use...

Was there a tang stamp on the back of the main blade in the photos? Sometimes it might be stamped with the model #.

Not that I could see in the photos … the Camillus stamp is there on the front, but the shot of the back was from this angle, so you can’t make it out if it’s there.

Apparently they made one with a “shallow” bail where the back pin is on this.

This was a recent purchase from Mark at SSk! A.G. Russell "Cartridge" 6 3/4" oal lockback with all NS hardware no brass on this knife, and burgundy micarta covers although in my pictures they just look black, a true gentleman's knife!

Old Camillus just arrived … seems unused. Very small! But would certainly challenge an SAK Classic.
