I've got this bad habit of wading around in the shallow end of the bay. Every once in a while, something seems to get overlooked or ignored that I can't resist. Today the mailman brought an interesting electrician's knife, it's an M.Klein&Sons with a blade etch promoting "STERELING ELEC. CO. over MINNEAPOLIS". The knife is close to mint and cost $3.25 +shipping.
Don't know if it is a Camillus or some other maker? ::shrug::

Looking at the pins and bail, Camillus and Utica would likely be the culprits. The odd thing is that the only knife with pinned construction and that marbled cell is an Ulster-made Craftsman.

I am guilty of doing the same TF, but as you say, every now and again something special shows up and makes all the browsing worth it. Your new knife is a shining example of this, but in this case you really scored getting it for such little money. I'll bet the shipping was more than the knife. Nice catch! 8)

I usually find clapped-out junk in the shallow end of the Bay. Looks like I need to get to the other shallow spots! ::tu::

Me also, we must be at the shallow end where the sewer pipes into the bay

I got a nice gift today from my friend Ali at Eight Knives. This is a beauty. The handles are a purple marble resin that is simply beautiful. The blade has some very nice file work that has been smoothed and looks and feels great. Here is Ali’s description "Custom Made Bird's Head Bolster Knife which is 100% handmade.
Nice filework on the blade,
Steel Liners and Nickle Silver bolsters.
Beautiful chip and crack free resin handles,
The material of the blade is a Hammer Forged high Carbon Steel (SAE 5160) with very high tensile strength which make the knife much strong to cut hard woods like Bamboo.
This handmade knife was made by master "Ali Alikhani" one of the famous knife masters in Iran."

Strong half stops and very nice snap. Love the birds head bolster.
Thank you Ali.

The bolsters, the filework, the color, the s/f blade, the swell, the fact it was a gift all add up to one fine knife Mark. You lucky dog! 8)

Whoa Theo, THAT Case is a beautiful knife! Is that an etch of an apple and stem on the top-front bolster, or just a smudge? ::shrug:: If so, it's way cool! 8)

I think it’s his apple iPad or iPhone reflecting in the bolster
