I really hate to be a show-off  ...but, the truth is I really am quite proud to own these Ivoryman carvings. I think they are absolutely amazing and beautiful pieces of one-of-a-kind art from the hand of a master carver of tusk, tooth & bone. So cool! 8) :D

These two are my favorites. The face is from a walrus tooth that was found in an ancient midden, IIRC.

Hi friends,

Got a package from my mom in MD the other day. She sent me some Pop-Tarts, ::super_happy:: a set of very cool MD (farm) plates for my plates collection out in the car port and a Case Stockman with a Traktor Supply shield that my wife let me buy from Mark (SSK) for my 50th Birthday this year in Nov. ::tu:: I have wanted one with a shield like that ever sense I first saw one a few years ago. I went to a couple Traktor Supply stores looking for one the last time I was in MD but I couldn't find any of them at the time so I'm very Happy to finally have one in my collection. It's a real beauty! ::nod:: Thanks Mark! ::handshake:: ::super_happy::

And as if that were not enough..., there was another surprise ::woot:: knife in the package that Mark threw in on the deal. The nicest Rough Rider I have ever seen! ::nod:: ::tu:: I have a few Rough Riders but none made as nicely as this one & none with such great snap. What a wonderful Bomb to get hit by! It's absolutely beautiful! ::nod:: ::super_happy::

Thanks Mark! ::handshake:: I really appreciate it Buddy! ::nod:: ::handshake:: ::super_happy:: I will put it away with my new Caes & save it for my 50th Birthday in November. Can't wait to add these two to my showcase! ::nod:: ::tu:: ::super_happy::

Check the Internet Dan. I have looked for them before & I saw that you could order them from some Traktor Supply stores where they were in stock. Local stores may or may not have them in stock. As was the case when I looked for them in MD. Mom said that her Traktor Supply in MD had Carhartt cloths so you might also look for Case knives with a Carhartt shield. ::tu:: Another trophy on my long list of sought after knives. ::doh::

jmh58 has a nice looking knife with a Carhartt shield. ::nod:: ::tu:: ::super_happy::

I periodically have a need to go to Tractor Supply in person (to pick up an item that's too cost-prohibitive to deliver in any large quantity). Will add the 6347 to the next order, provided the store nearest me has them in stock.

I've seen the Cases with the Carhartt shield, and they are also nice.

Nice knives Tom! But the whole allure of Pop Tarts does escape me.

Q!!! Those ivory pieces are more than amazing. Ivory man, those are just stunning.

Oh I’m sure. I just never cared for them. But I’m surprised they’re not available in Germany.

Glad you like the sowbelly Tom. It’s a great pattern. I’m especially partial to the Cuttin Horse version that has two clip blades. That’s my favorite pattern.

Well, count me in as another target of the I-man! I was expecting to receive some payment from him for the work I did for him, but I was not expecting to get bombed in the process. Not only did he provide a generous payment, he also sent these goodies along for the ride!

I'm a big fan of the Bruckmann knives, so was quite tickled to see this one. But the icing on the top was surely the carving he included. It's just so nice, and as others have said, very impressive artistic work. To me, it takes a lot of talent to make something from scratch that actually looks like something, so I have a lot of admiration for his skill, and treasure things like this that people make with their own 2 hands.
