Can you tell me more about the piece at the end. Looks like a lever of some sort to me. I could be wrong though. Is that a lock release?

Not in the mail, but a friend alerted me to some knives in a local gun shop,I had never seen before - although I have been in the gun shop many times. I walked away with one, but I think I need to go back.

A new Case trapper with 1095 blades and burlap micarta handles. I like knowing what steel is being used, maybe Case is taking a hint from GEC.

Hey I like that one too, really nice.
I didn't know Case had a carbon line out, besides what they offer in CV. I wi have to check into that! How's the fit and finish?

Saw this one floatin' around in the shallow end of the bay last week:
According to one of my older reference books this is a Maritime Commission and Merchant Marine Sailor's Knife, one of the Camillus knives that went to war.

I snagged this Queen 26A Stockman. If I'm reading the tang stamp chart correctly, this is 1984-1990, is that correct? It is in great shape, EXCEPT for center pin cracks on both sides. I also got a nifty Queen box that is stamped 26A, so I think it is original to this knife.

Got this nice little Crowing Rooster Whittler, Frost Brand as I understand.
Stainless Steel blades and Zebra Wood handles. It will make a good little EDC for me.

Nice!
I used to be a Medium Stockman/Medium Serpentine Jack fan in that frame size, but I picked up a Boker 280 earlier this year that has completely taken over the job at that size. I think the Whittler is far more versatile.
