That 99 looks like it's beggin' to be put in somebody's blue jean pocket, I believe it would even ride well in a pair of bib overalls ::tu:: . Reminds me of an ol' 4-wheel drive truck, before all the bells and whistles on todays vehicles, just grab it and growl!
Those with the stag handles anin't half bad either ::nod:: .

Trevor, nice looking GEC hunting/skinning knife. Have you used one of them to skin and clean a big game animal yet, and if so what did you think of it from a handling point of view? I like the feel of a rounded handle when I'm working on a big game animal (i.e., Buck 118, Marble's etc.) - how is the grip on the GEC? I like the Stainless Steel in a big game knife - I believe the ones branded "GEC" are all stainless, correct? Thanks, OH

OH - I haven't used a GEC fixed on any game yet but the blade profile is very close to my long used
Gerber 950 so would be right at home with it. The stag is VERY comfortable on this one and it's
tempting to use it but I won't. And yes.....all GEC with the acorn are Stainless....GEC uses
some really good SS imo, not terribly hard to get an edge on and it holds. Hoping to see the #H20
Hunter Knives released in SS....a full set will go in my pack if they do. GEC also has 5", 6" and
7" fillet knives coming out in SS. I will definitely be getting several of these...... ::nod::

Dimitri - That is a great looking knife. Saw your review on the RR and am so happy to hear that
it held up for the most part... ::tu:: ::tu::

Well just in case any of you aren't following the club knife thread... this one certainly belongs here too! Built on the 54 frame, slanted pinched bolsters, swedged blades, crisp half stops, blood red jigged bone, 1 of 50. Fine work by GEC and great job setting up the specifics of it by Bryan!

It sure is Trevor! Mighty impressed with this knife indeed. I bought it to use and have every intention of doing so, ...but....I am hesitant to muck it up just yet! A knife this hefty and solid is just begging for work though... and that blade combo is just about perfect for me and my needs..
