Not a knife box but I think it fits here. NORTHFIELD. We clearly know that the Northfield Knife Co did not make razors or scissors The boxes of each clearly tell us that.

Here is an interesting one. Seems early with thread in the construction. I would say it's safe to assume they did a lot of business with NYKC.

The old boxes reflect the time and the pride there was in well crafted products. Beautiful boxes that held beautiful knives!

I don't think they package them like this from China.

Normally I don't buy knife boxes (I'd rather save my pennies for the knives those boxes once held  ), but I just couldn't let this rare Kinson Cutlery Co. box slip by.

I don't collect Camillus knives or items, but this box is in pretty good shape so I bought it anyways. After I got it home I saw Goins' dates this box to the 1930's. I'll probably end up trading it for something that fits better with my collection or maybe I'll just sell it.

I have been saving some photos of Ebay knife boxes.

I'll try not to duplicate anything previously posted, but I'm going to rely on my memory, which is dubious, at best.

Those are cool Charlie!! I like that Camillus with the light coloring too. I have always like the boxes even if i don't have a knife to go with it. There are a couple that I am still looking for like a Press Button, Terrier although I would probably get that one to you Charlie, and a Sperry & Alexander to name a few.

Mike, did you, by chance, get that pearl Carrier Cutlery knife to go with your Carrier boxes?

I saw a beautiful Griffon razor box today with a price sticker on it. The guy didn't know what he had or anything about stickers on such things. He took the sticker off with all the printing too.

All the printing that was under the sticker. Big ol' spot as big as your thumb. The value of the nice box plummeted.

I think we should revive this thread. It's been moved all the way to page 6. No one's going to see it there.

This box sold on Ebay yesterday for $555.55.

Yes. Five Hundred Fifty Five dollars for a small pasteboard box.

When I shipped my Robeson collection to Eugene, OR in 2001 to display it at the OKCA April Show, FEDEX destroyed three similar, although not so nearly historically significant, knife boxes that were packed in a professionally constructed shipping crate like those used by Rock Bands on the road.

I hope the Ebay seller does not slip this one into one of those padded mailing envelopes for shipping.
