Here's my mist recent, a Rough Ryder cinnamon stag bone stockman.

My only gripe is that the nail nick on the sheeps foot is almost covered by the spay blade.
For those who like, it has half stops.
That's my first car in the pics, a '67 LeMans, the GTO Wanna-Be.![]()

That's really a very flattering offer & I am truely touched that you think so highly of me to do so but I couldn't possibly take you up on that my friend. That's something way too cool & personal and because I think just as highly of you I think you should hold on to it.
I believe you would regret giving that away as soon as it's gone.
It would look good in my car port for sure but I would feel bad if I took it away from you.
God Bless You Steve & Thanks for your generous offer!I appreciate it Buddy! I really do!

I'm keeping the one with the inspection stickers; helps with the dating of the plate.
You're most welcome bud. I'm wondering if the UNITED stamp is the same UNITED CUTLERY that makes all those Gil Hibben knives?treefarmer wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 3:46 amThanks for the kind words, Madmarco.Madmarco wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 2:25 am I like your choice of knives T.F.! Remember, it's not a contest about who has the nicest knives, it's about who truly appreciates the knives they do have, and you do. I know I've seen models that I absolutely loved but couldn't afford, so I look at what I do have and it satisfies me. There will always be something "Bigger and Better"! Great group you posted today, I'm really likin' the Italian Sodbuster!![]()
The orange sodbuster has a UNITED stamp. I hadn’t noticed these before. The handle is solid, no spring showing. Don’t know how it works, might be like the Queen Big Chief.![]()
The little LF&C is the prize of this bunch!![]()

That's a perfect paint job Steve. And kudos to you for being so thoughtful towards Tom, that was a nice gesture.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:33 pmYes, that's the Pabst Blue Ribbon plate, issued 1981, I had on the Beast. You're most welcome bud. I'm wondering if the UNITED stamp is the same UNITED CUTLERY that makes all those Gil Hibben knives?I find it interesting cuz it has the clip-point blade,
whereas they usually have a drop-point or spear-point blade. I'm not a fan of clip-points but I do find the color and construction of the handle intriguing, not to mention the concealed spring. I'm in full agreement regarding your LF&C, it definitely is the prize!
Congratulations John, that's a cool little knife. You usually see these with a spear-point blade so the sheepsfoot is quite refreshing. Since it's a GEC, do you still have both arms and legs?1967redrider wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:51 pm I actually picked up one of these- GEC Northfield UN-X-LD Toe Nail Clipper Knife Blood Red Jigged Bone (North American Cow Bone shield). Put in the only bid and was shocked to learn I won it.

Thanks Jamie. It's actually kindda light for my liking, but it is a scale-release model and I wanted one for my collection. I have a Wolverine brand dual-action, which is to say it has a thumb-stud for manual opening and a concealed button under the front cover for automatic opening that I was going to settle for as a scale-release, but this genuine model became available so I grabbed it. It's a pretty cool opening/closing system.
Two in a week, nice catch bud. Dr.'s knives have always been a fav of mine, only single spear-point blader's though of course, no spatulas or tools on my knives.JamieinWV wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 6:40 pm The second green Remington delrin handle trade in of the week…I’ve not had a single one of these traded in for over a year…first a clapped out stockman and just today a never carried doctors knife…I hope the third times a charm and get a trapper traded in soon…
Thank you Cody. I knew some of that information, but some was new to me. Also, thanks for the links, I have a couple Antonini's in my collection so it was nice to see other models as well.cody6268 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:16 pmMadmarco wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:04 pm

I've speculated this is the history of the "United" knife. I think it's the same United.
It originated with Kissing Crane in the 1980s and was made in Germany, where it was sold under the names "Black Angus" and "Coal Miner" (often etched on the blade). Then, production moved to Italy starting in the '90s, where it was also produced under the United name, and still is produced as a Kissing Crane. Antonini produces an identical pattern in two sizes, two different blade types (plain or straight edge), and three diffrent handle colors--I presume these were the original KC molds and tooling.
I have the 869/B, and it' takes a beating. The simple 420SS steel sharpens up quick, and the aggresive serrations rip through heavy material.

Exclusive to Antonini is a spear-point with a cable stripping blade.

That price actually doesn't sound so bad considering what some GEC's are going for. Is the 4 1/4" open or closed?1967redrider wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:23 pmMadmarco wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:18 pmCongratulations John, that's a cool little knife. Thanks, Mark, and barely. It was less than $200 delivered, and comes in at a formidable 4 1/4". Excellent snap, fit and finish. Plus the dye is amazing.
Thanks rider…I never know what people want to trade….I traded a nice zero tolerance for a Wilton bullet vice last fall…I then sand blasted it and had it powder coated and use it in the garage….I only have about 8 vice in garage so I really needed it1967redrider wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:26 pm
Nice group, Jamie. Looks like a little of everything. Those Stryder's are pricey you know!

Thanks Marco the knife you show honestly does not look light. It look’s beefy
None 5 early 2000s rough riders, 2 Remington USA a kissing crane abalone, and not sure who makes the Harley knife, it looks Asian my guess Taiwan
John! Which knife/knives are you referring to as Stryder's in Jamie's post?1967redrider wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:26 pm

I'm sorry man, John(Redrider)commented that your Stryder's are pricey knives so that's why I'm asking. None you posted looked like a Stryder to me?
