Scott that one does have outstanding scales on it! ::tu:: Schrade made some of the most beautiful scales ever seen on earth IMO. ::nod:: You could have the blades reformed. ::shrug:: The main blade retipped or turned into a Wharncliffe & the secondary could be a small punch type blade. ::shrug::

Be an even cooler EDC then. Actually it would be an awesome HOK with reformed blades & what a great pair of scales you would "save" from certain destruction. ::tu:: ::nod::
I find those scales are breathtaking! ::super_happy::

Came outside for coffee and pencil sharpening. Used my Camillus TL-29 for sharpening but thought a nice family photo of some of my Case teardrop jacks was in order, too: (L-R) 1976 2231 1/2 SAB, 1982 6235 1/2, and 1974 6299 1/2.

I'm a recent convert to that pattern, even though I have only one (dot-era red bone, another of Scott's finds from his suburban missions) and I usually prefer my serpentine jacks to be a little beefier. It does make a great watch pocket slicer with more to grip for my oversized meatpaws than a p-nut or a 33, both patterns I have collected. Yours looks very minty, kudos on totin' it. ::tu::

Great old bones. That is prime pocket cutlery. Grind a point onto the master, maybe round the pen off into a short sheepsfoot and you're ready to roll. ::nod::

Two great knives! Is the S&M built on the Queen 20 large toothpick frame, the 119½ medium (4¼") toothpick frame, or "other"?

Something great about a yeller 99. ::nod:: I can see the lure of that 31, too.

Others will probably disagree with me, but I've become a fan of Case's lime green bone.

Thanks & I was hoping you'd ask. I get to take more knife pictures.
The S&M #5 looks an awful lot like Queen's #20. They are both 5" long.
Here is that S&M #5 with a Queen #20 below it. At the bottom is a Queen #112 1/2 which is 4 1/4" long. Whatever "other" is, I don't have one of those but I wish I did.
