YES! Whitneyrifle, I was correct. It is called a barn door hinge bolster. Case has used them as have others.

Well umpacked these today, could not be more happy..Hiro Abalone Seki Japan.... and a Joel Chamblin custom that he refered to as the Star Wars knife with CPM-154 steel..because of the angles its tough to catch light on it..but easy to catch fingerprints ::hmm::

I got it from Roland and he said it’s a custom he dated to 1956… and adds that all points to real tortoise shell..thanks for the compliment

Well still going through the package I got tuesday when I got home from Europe....This is a amazing Vom Cleff Germany never sharpened no chips or cracks Pearl scales...I say good considering its 1885-1926era

Also picked up a mammoth Victorinox SAK, Custom by late Dan Ferrel in 2013 who was famous for his nude scenes, but was also talented wildlife scriber,
picked this up from fellow AAPK member hope not to offend. Well I decided not to show front of knife for the nude value, but if a member would like to see front of knife PM me. Ill send it to you.
