My latest Schrade

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I don't often get a chance to make a contribution to the Schrade threads because they are hard to come by in my neck of the woods so it is with great pleasure that I can show you folks my newest Schrade knife. ::nod:: This knife was a Christmas gift from John (1967redrider). Thanks Buddy! ::handshake::
I love it! ::super_happy::

This is a NIB Schrade Scrimshaw two blade Barlow with a fancy scrolled bolster & made in the 1983/84 time frame. It is stamped with Schrade (over) USA SC 506. It has a light swedge and an etch that reads Schrade (over) Scrimshaw. This is the first Scrimshaw knife that I can add to my collect. ::super_happy::

I took some pictures of it and here it is. Thanks for looking friends! ::handshake:: :D

P.S.: I also took some pictures of the paperwork that I will also post just in case any Schrade fans are interested in seeing it or reading the descriptions of the individual models in this series. ::tu::

This pocket knife arrived recently in a large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it turned out to be a keeper. It's a SCHRADE 219, two blades, single tang stamp, 2 7/8" closed, pocket knife. The main blade tang stamp reads "SCHRADE - USA 219." The tang stamp appears to be "210" but it IS DEFINITELY "219." It is in GOOD+ condition. It needed a minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

My most recent rescue from the Bay. Not bad for $10.50. One of the carbon steel blade knives. The "before" pics are from the seller.

Everyone posting some nice finds. I added this one last week. A Schrade Skoal 194. It is like new, came with the original box, warranty / info pamphlet and sleeve. Has the Schrade Skoal Tang stamp, Skoal blade etch, green sawcut delrin handles with the Coined antique brass Skoal Shield, and brass bolsters. Thought it would be a good addition to my Schrade 194OT, 940OT, UH285, 293 & 294 family.
