I fished these two out of the Bay and they finally showed up yesterday. The first is a Craftsman 3-1/2" Stock Knife as listed in the Sears Catalogs. It has the Long Tail letter "C" that underlines the word Craftsman, on the shield, and blade etch on the master clip blade with "Forged Steel" underneath Craftsman and the model number to the right. It has black composite handles, all blades have great snap, no wobble and still have the original luster. It is equipped with a master clip blade, meduim spey secondary blade, and a pen blade. With this style blade etch and shield, i believe this is from approximately 1950-1956. Around 1957 is when the Craftsman logo changed to the block letters on the etch and shield without the underline.

The second one is a Craftsman 9472 3-1/4" Stock Knife which has the brown composite handles, and oval Craftsman Shield with the block letters without underline. Produced from approximately 1957 to around 1963. It has the Craftsman U.S.A. tang stamp on the master clip blade without the model number. It has a master clip blade , small spey secondary and small pen blade. All blades are tight with great snap, but do have some scratches, dark spots and spyders, and the shield does have a small dent. It is missing the blade etch.
