I have a Schrade Imperial SS105 melon-tester, a Henckels all-chrome melon-tester, a Kabar LJN90 melon-tester, and now I have this unusual Hammette International melon-tester with forward LOCKBACK and Stamina wood covers via etsy! 8)

Thank you Garry! I'd never seen one with a lockback or wood covers and they intrigued me so I bought it! 8)

Cool find Marc. Looks really classy with the wood covers. I have to admit, I believe that is the first melon tester I've seen in a lockback or as some call them a spine lock configuration. Again, a good looking knife. Congrats Buddy!! ::tu::

Very nice Jamie! ::tu:: I'm a big fan of Parker knives and yours is no exception! I had a similar mailbox adventure to yours where a package I'd been waiting for to clear Customs with one of my nicest knives in it was finally delivered to my exact address but one street over, and thank goodness for my mail gal and the honest person with the same address as mine who simply attached a note to the parcel and put it back in their box! 8)

I too have good mail people I live out, and most all people in my area are country to say the least, and for the most part are honest, I would have problems living in a area that has porch pirates, anyway thank for the nice words… and my few Parker’s I have….and by the way I grew up on a beef farm, and in 1978 when freshman in high school I bought my first knife with my own money, and it was a Parker lil Bandit…. So I tend to buy them

Very nice Jamie! ::tu:: You definitely are a Parker fan! I have a bunch of Parkers but I don't want to clog up this thread by going off topic so I'll just show you my 3 favorites in the order they're shown! 8)

Hey, thanks Nev! ::handshake:: That knife came from one of the very few ebay auctions I've participated in and being the only bidder I got it for US$40./including the shipping! I've admired the gunstock frame since I first saw it but couldn't find a model with only the one blade so when I spotted this one I followed it and was lucky enough to win it! I don't own even one knife that has more than one blade I'm strictly a 1-blade kindda guy, and I can count on the fingers of 1 hand the models I have that don't have a dagger, spear-point, wharnnie, sheeps/lambsfoot, or drop-point blade, I'm not a big fan of clip-points! 8)

Holly guacamole Batman, when it rains melon-testers it rains melon-testers! Sorry fellas, I haven't been to bed yet! Seriously, this M/T was ordered weeks apart from the recent model I posted they simply arrived at the same time. Actually, this knife might not even be classified as a M/T but that's what I'm gonna call it! A 9 3/4" oal O.M.O.R. slip-joint with coke-bottle frame, EZO, and perfectly matched Delrin covers! 8)

Wow, it seems not many guys have been posting and enjoying "Mail Call" knives for the last couple days! I guess I'm the only one who didn't make or keep a non-knife buying New Year's resolution! This gorgeous little gem was in my box this morning. A. Wright & Son/Sheffield Ltd 6 1/4" oal slip-joint with C70 carbon sheepsfoot blade and back spring, NS and brass hardware, and stag covers. If I still carried a knife this one would see a lot of pocket time! 8)
