David, you really scored with those Al Mars. They become more valuable by the hour.

First an Al Mar S.E.R.E. 40th Anniversary Flipper AMK9202.
I think this may be my contribution to the monthly knife giveaway
this year.
Second and third I've just had a liking for Scout/Camping knives lately
so we have a Uncle Henry 23UH and an Old Timer 23OT.
Last we have another Moore Maker in a Barlow 3204B.
All are beautiful folders David! ::tu:: I love the AL Mar SERE, but they're so expensive. I realize your model is the less costly version they put out, yet it's just as nice as the originals. I'm really likin' the baby blue color on your M/M too! Congratulations on a very fruitful day to the mailbox! 8)
Thank you Sir. You're right that specific Al Mar is not one of their most costly ones but the opening on it is really fast and smooth. It is a little heavier than I like. I love Barlow's and I'm liking Moore Maker knives a little more these days, I just wish they had more variety in their patterns... ::handshake::

Yes David i agree, if Moore Maker had a broader selection that would be good. I don't have any, but i like the look of them. But if you keep browsing their website they sometimes come up with some good looking knives, i missed one i really liked because it was sold out. But yes, i like them. Take care over there mate. ::tu:: ::handshake::

This little 2 1/4" Hubertus Solingen Pen Knife is my newest addition. Very solid, well made, gator snappy pen knife! ::tu:: Not 100% sure but the handles seem to be wood. ::hmm:: This one tells me I'd love to have a few more Hubertus knives. They are a bit pricey though so it may be a while before I can add any more these to my humble collection. I got this one for a good price but I caught em off gaurd. ::nod::

Thanks for looking friends! ::handshake:: :D

Tom, David nailed it--simple elegance!

And just make sure that GTO gets put away into a safe place after the photo shoots. Don't want that paint job getting mucked up!

I fully agree regarding how they've perfected the A/O torsion-bar flippers on many knives, I have models that fly open even faster it seems than an automatic. I can't agree with you regarding the weight of your knives, and that's only because I like my knives heavy because they feel so much more substantial in my hand. And as far as Barlow's I completely agree, they're great knives and M/M DOES need to create more patterns for theirs. Thanks for your reply! ::handshake:: 8)

Beautiful little Hubertus Tom! ::tu:: Coming from that company I have no doubt the covers are wood, since all they produce are quality products. It's always nice to squeak one through at a low price, cuz most of the time we're paying more than they're worth. Great addition to your collection! 8)

I agree with ya 100% Marco! ::nod:: I have a few knives like this one (Hubertus) or my Puma Bantam comes to mind, that normally sell for more than I can spend or am willing to pay but once in a while ya just get lucky and you can pick one up for less than normal market price. I remember looking for an affordable Puma Bantam for over 2 years before I found one. ::nod::

Anyways, thanks for the comment my friend in the beautiful land of much snow. ::handshake:: ::super_happy::

Bought a few lightly used Schrade USA knives from Roland here in the for sale section and he threw in an extra too. Some really great EDC knives in this box. I put new edges on the 93OT last night, it’s ready to carry today. OH
