I know that feeling....MILLER BRO`S wrote:Owd Wullie wrote:Your eyes are better than mineWell then it must be these new glasses, because without them I am as blind as a BAT!
I just got through looking at it again and the MAde in Germany was partially ground off. You can sort of see it in the photo, but under a 30X loupe it shows even more so.
Just looked up iros keen and found this.
IROS KEEN ( New York) 1924/1925,very rare stamp a trademark used by I.Rosenbaum for one year
Also found a old Voyle's auction with one listed and the Iros Keen etching on the blade looks similar to my tang stamp, but the Iros Keen tang stamp on that one is different.

What make is the 2nd from top right ? Thats the one I remember having as a kid, the Cub Scout model with the wolf badge and the brass locking tabs. Bought it at Sears in the 60's when they had all the scout supplies, I actually whittled my pinewood derby car with that thing, took me a week !!basser5 wrote:I found a few in the junk drawer!

That is an interesting one.
I'd think that a seller wanting that kind of jack for a knife would include some tang stamp pictures.

Here are a few I have added to my troop recently. All but the Cattaragus are non official scout knives. The Catt bears the Boy Scout emblem on its sheild.

This dealer is sold out already or so they say. I really don't think they ever had them. Josh Basham from Red Hill sent me a note that they will have them by the end of August.

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
I sent a message to Case asking when the BSA knives would be released and recieved the following response form Jon Bradish, Consumer Relations Associate / Case Collectors Club, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company.
"They should be released towards the end of the summer. I would contact any of our Exclusive Master Authorized Dealers, as they are the ones who carry our entire product line."

We don't have junk shops any more, they're all antique shops now, but still full of junk. I remember when I was a kid they called them second hand stores. My how time does fly.
