Reverand wrote: Wed Oct 13, 2021 8:48 pm I had a pleasant surprise when this package arrived today: I had bought two knives off the 'Bay as "parts knives", but this little Camillus 41 was in better shape than I'd expected.

The pen blade had some wobble, so I peened it slightly. Then, a few minutes with a #2 pencil, some Case Paste, Quick-release oil, and some sharpening stones, and I have a great little toter!
At 3-1/8" it is a bit small for everyday use, but I opened a box with it and it sliced like a Samurai sword!
The knife is about as old as I am - which means it is old and has some scars, but still useful enough to have around. I may put it in my Sunday morning rotation.
::tu:: Always good to give an old knife a new lease on life. ::tu::

I saw this little Camillus 21 in the bay and I tossed it a life line. :) Looked like it was in fair shape, blade seemed to fairly full, a long line 60-76 stamp. Well I'm about half pleased, the pen blade snaps well and has half stops but the 1/2 saber clip is really lazy. Has a tiny bit of snap on closing, no half stop at all. :( What can you expect for $3.25, take a chance and live a little! This one was listed with wooden handles.

Good looking Pony Jack. ::tu:: ::tu:: I've always liked the Camillus 21 & 22 patterns. Oil it, carry it and have fun with it. At the price point you got it, even if it last a couple of more years you got a good deal. Flush it out with some WD-40, blow it out and re-oil it. It may impove a bit if it's just a little crud between the spring and blade cam.Even if it doesn't it's still usable.

Thanks for the comments of the little Camillus, fellers! I've got this thing for little tiny pocket knives such as this for some reason. ::shrug:: They're too little for me to carry but just kinda' neat. It must be an addiction. ::hmm:: Went to put this one in the Camillus drawer and look what I found:
This one is way above the $3.25 one from yesterday!

Madmarco,
Here are a few that were easy to get lined up:
Various makers, all too little even for a Sunday knife.
