Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
The mail brought me this cool little auto from Bulgaria today! It's 7 3/4" oal/SS dagger blade, SS bolsters, brass pins, faux wooden cover, coil-spring open/close, safety, and a HUGE pocket-clip that makes up the entire back handle. I removed the clip like I always do, but the knife felt out of proportion in my hand so I put it back on. One of VERY few knives that I left the P.C on. The only marking is "Minsheng" stamped on the front blade, so I'm gonna assume it's Chinese built. Opening was a bit sluggish, but after a drop of Q.R. oil it fires like a cannon! Just a fun little "click therapy" knife!

It finally arrived. 2008 Bermuda Green pocket worn with red shield, 1 of 500 limited to stocking/authorized (forget the exact wording) dealers. Now I have to get all my PW together for an updated group shot. Maybe this weekend.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Zippo self-advertiser with blade, nail file/screwdriver, and scissors. Decently built, but there is a stone burn on the backside of the blade.
Marked "ZIPPO STAINLESS USA". I thought most Zippo came out of the Case factory, but who knows with this one. The Cut About and Cut About Jr. did exist as Case patterns, and I know Case is still making their own version of the smaller Cut About.
I had meant to buy this one to use, but I'll get one of the many with some company name on it instead. This was a regular catalog item with the Zippo logo.

Beautiful wood Marco, slick looking dagger. How's the Bulgarian fit and finish and quality of their manufacturing?

So do I!
I recently received these two Victorinox Bantams. One in Cellidor and the other in Alox, obviously. Neither was carried, and both still have their boxes. Guess I collect Bantams now!

Thanks Iman, but I'm afraid it's faux wood, probably some sort of plastic, although, it has a nice rich look to the color and grain, and due to the "Minsheng" stamped on the blade I have to assume it's Chinese built. The knife was likely purchased from China by someone in Bulgaria and then put it up for sale. Still a cool little auto though!

Nice knives everybody! I dig the Minsheng a lot! I have have one somewhere. This one has the factory edges. A good solid knife I would carry without hesitation.

Does that minor sting mean it was made in China?Madmarco wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 3:06 pmThanks buddy.Ivoryman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 1:43 amHuh. Looks pretty good in pics, fooled me anyway. Nice one.Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 10:47 pm

It fooled me too when I saw the pics and couldn't make out the stamp. I foolishly assumed that if it was coming from Bulgaria it was Bulgarian built, but no such luck. It was inexpensive enough though to make the sting very minor.
