Received these two in the mail today. A couple more to add to my Camillus 72 Clone Family. I will post more about them in the Camillus 72 Clones thread.
First a McGrew Arkansas Hillbilly Classic Carpenters Whittler made by Camillus, with the Underlined McGrew Arkansas USA tang stamp. It has Delrin Handles with the undersocored "M" federal style shield. All blades have great snap, still have the original luster, no wobble, but do have some age spots and some scratches. The master clip blade still has the "Hillbilly Classic" blade etch, but it is light.
I also picked up a Craftsman 9494 which was listed in the Sears Catalogs as a 3 Blade Whittler. This one has the oval Craftsman Shield with the crown stamped surround. I believe these were made by Ulster. The blades are tight with good snap, but does feel gritty and needs cleaning inside. So will do the usual warm oil bath spa treatment and flush. These are the pics shortly after I opened it today.
