No tang stamps, just a verrrry faint, almost invisible blade etch that can barely be seen when the blade is angled just so under certain light (and nearly impossible to photograph). As best I can tell, the etch says WESKE over USA inside a diamond, something like this:

I couldn't find any pics of the WESKE USA logo for comparison, but based on my limited research, WESKE Cutlery Co. operated in Sandusky, Ohio from 1946-1952 and mostly made fixed blade hunting knives and a few pocket knives.

Gorgeous Puma for your collection Tom. Not my style of knife, but there's no denying it's beautiful. Congrats on receiving that one! Your photo skills ain't too shabby either, very nice!

Awesome find Tom. Beautiful handles. Puma makes some great knives and has a long history.
