Thanks Ann. Best I can tell, it was made around 1983 to '94. It's stamped "Frank Buster Celebrated Cutlery Germany." One thing I'm accustomed to, that it doesn't have, & I can live without, is blade rub.

This Cold Steel Trapper was made by Camillus in the late 90s. The carbon steel blades came and can be maintained with exceptional sharpness.

3 spring 6347 are a favorite of mine. Had to touch a file to the sheepsfoot kick but otherwise this Select is the nicest 'new' one I own.

I need to add that the steel used in the Cold Steel Trapper is Carbon 5. No longer available this was used in many CS knives and became somewhat legendary for its sharpness. But it was also used by Camillus.

This Railsplitter has been in my pocket a good bit lately & I don't mind. That's a good place for it.

Your Railsplitter is a handsome piece. Would travel well to a black-tie formal event. ::tu::

Still with the M&G whittler all week long. This is the pinnacle of the 29 run.

Took a pic of the pile side to show off that sweet Appy bone.

Outstanding carries today guys ::tu:: . Especially that pearly Hammer brand semroc! Love pearl and pen knives, something about them together in one knife makes my day. ::super_happy::

Thanks Quick Steel. It feels like a stout chunk of steel in my pocket but it does look like it would not be out of place with my tuxedo. (I'm talking about a Case tuxedo, I guess you know. I don't have any other kind of tuxedo in my wardrobe.)

I have one of each of the regular factory run and two of the stag. The walk on all the of them is excellent and the only talk issues are that a couple of them are a little soft on the opening talk on the drop point blades but still have a definite snick. Compared to the 66 Calf Ropers I have which have weak secondaries on some I would rate all my Dixie 82's as near excellent to excellent.
