If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

While I was on holidays in Western Australia, I took a picture of a lake that is a little different.

Grant is the water as pink as it appears to be in those photos ?

If so, do you know what gives it that color ?

As Royal said, "interesting". ::hmm::

Phil, follow the link Grant posted. It tells you all about the pink color and what causes it.

I think the breast cancer research people could make some excellent video/commercial/appeals for funds there.

Of course, if they wanted pink water, they could do it with computer graphics.

Lol, you boys go ahead and laugh about the Monroe Co., KY Flippins - but I married one.

My wife's grandmother was a Flippin - they are descended from Isaac Flippin, who died in Monroe Co. KY in 1845.

Here's a pic of Eilean Donan Castle I took while on vacation last week!
This is the most photographed castle in Scotland and it is easy to understand why.
While we were there a wee bagpiper showed up.

Yessirs, trip of a lifetime. The wife and I were celebrating our 31st anniversary. We went to Ireland for a few days, and then hopped over to Scotland for a week. The time we spent in Kintail was the highlight of my trip. First the castle, and then we spent a day hiking the "Five Sisters of Kintail" mountain range. The trail goes along the ridgeline over five mountains. I will be a real grouch back at work next week...

This one's for you, Pigsticker. Check out the creative names for the local brews listed on the sign.
Here's a shot of the streets of Dublin, on the way to the Guinness brewery.

While in Dublin, we also went to the underground crypt at Christ Church Cathedral. There they have the mummified remains of a cat and rat on display, found in the tube of the church organ around 1860. James Joyce mentioned these critters in his book, FINNEGAN's WAKE.

One more with your kind indulgence:
The city center of Inverness in Scotland. That is River Ness, which flows from Loch Ness.
There are a lot of big brown trout in the river, but I did not see the Nessie in the lake.
My hotel is the first building on the left in this photo.
