Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I had to make some sacrifices to purchase the knife, but when my friend made me the offer i had to take. A-i loved the knife when they were released, and really wanted one. B-when someone goes out of their way to help you, i had to take up their offer. Now zoogirl, if you have been a good girl, you never know what Santa will leave under your tree, and he is not far off making his yearly visit. You have a good weekend, and if you get to any markets, good racooning.zoogirl wrote:Cudgee, that is just wonderful, both the knife and the kind friend!cudgee wrote:IMAG0023.jpgIT IS THIS BIG, the frenzy to scramble to get one of these knives. A Charlie Campagna, Waynorth Cutlery, Jigged Bone, Lamb Foot. Impossible to purchase over here, but through the kindness of a friend was able to get my hands on one. Very, Very, grateful.![]()

I’ll probably not be able to afford a Waynorth knife, although Christmas and birthdays have been rather ‘sharp’ lately! I could get it at the source too.
I have the great pleasure of having Charlie as a regular at our monthly knifers breakfast. He is as advertised.![]()
Enjoy your treasure, Cudgee!

Chris nothing wrong with that Robeson, mellow.
Charlie, black is beautiful.
BH, a good collection and all within reach.
geocashe, warm bones glowing like coals in a fire.
Montanaman, it is perfect that your and QS's post should follow each other. Two knives on the extreme ends of elegance but both serving in the purpose for which they were made. Perfect knives in each case.

I just figured nobody cares about the trinkets I pocket each day.Steve Warden wrote:Ann, I made the same request several years ago.zoogirl wrote:Gentlemen, I’m sorry, but I have a little, tiny, complaint.![]()
The EDC’s, and pretty much every other knife on here, are cool and nice to look at and some of ‘em are downright droolicious, but...
I don’t have a clue what they are.![]()
You see, having just dipped a toe into the Wonderful World Of Knives, I’m still learning. Even the knives considered such obvious classics that they need no explanation, need explaining to me!
So, for the benefit of me and the rest of the clueless, would you please say what the knife is when you post it? Please and thanks!
No doubt it was made before I made it.
Knives still get posted with no identification.
The reply to my request, "Just ask. Folks love to talk about their knives and are more than willing to answer questions."
Guess they figure it saves them time on the post to not put any info, and saves time by not having to answer if no one asks.

They are just knives, what ever spectrum you live in. Thank you for the kind comments folks. I don't mean to take away from anyone's carry, but I would not put the two in the same group. I own and use a few Opinel's, they are not the same as my T. Bose's, but I get where you are coming from Doglegg.doglegg wrote: Montanaman, it is perfect that your and QS's post should follow each other. True! To be honest, I was pretty boring for a while. Between a business trip to CA and a short home staycation afterwards I was carrying maybe one knife every 2 weeks, max.cudgee wrote:Without speaking for everyone, i think we all do. I personally find it a great learning curve!!!

I believe these were made by Queen for Blue Grass Cutlery for Olin Corporation. Whatever, I call them Winchesters for lack of anything better.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Everyday, GREAT knives, GREAT pictures! Well done.
Today's "special" extra carry, is this Dexter Russell oyster knife.
Why you ask? Because this weekend is my mountain community's
annual Lobster Fest. Three, we'll definitely two, days of .........
See the menu below. I bring the oyster knife in case the line is long.
I just have them give me X amounts of oysters and I open them myself.
