Your display of Queens is nothing short of spectacular, ~Q~, it seems you've been connecting with Rey for too long! lol!
I see you use those red felt storage pouches for your knives, how do you like them? I use to use them exclusively but I had to keep them zipped up to avoid the dust, but then I couldn't see my knives so I switched to clear plastic storage containers. I still can't see them as much as I'd like to, but they're better and dust free at least. When I was using them I was paying $29./free shipping from Amazon, but they wised-up to the fact that they are popular and bumped the price way up. I've seen them listed for $70. now!
My first knife storage method was heavy canvas Spyderco knife rolls that had clear plastic pouches to hold and display the knives and were secured with Velcro straps. Over time, I found that the plastic pouches became scuffed and cloudy from frequent arranging and rearranging of my knives (I think I probably have some kind of organizational OCD). I switched to the black vinyl, felt-lined zipper folders with elastic bands and have found them to be perfect for my needs. However, the elastic bands do tend to get stretched out and weaker when used to hold larger folding knives. I haven't purchased any new storage cases for quite a while, but the last time I did they were going for about $20 USD from online retailers. When the elastic bands in one of my zipper cases gets too weak and worn to adequately hold the knives, I list it on eBay. In fact, I currently have one listed right now. I'm always surprised at how much someone is willing to pay for what I consider to be a worn out and essentially useless knife storage case. Because I bought them years ago for only $20, I've actually ended up making a profit on them; probably even more profit percentage-wise than I've made from the knives I've sold. Go figure.
Yep, that was another thing about those pouches I didn't care for, the stretched out elastic holders. They remain in good shape if you only put small knives in them, but who only has small knives, certainly not me! lol!
Great idea to resell them on the Bay, there's one born every minute over there!
As you say, they really do work well for holding your knives, but I couldn't stand not being able to see my knives any longer!
