Re: WHAT DID YOU USE YOUR KNIFE FOR TODAY!!!!!!????
One heck of a mail call for the diecast side of the hobby, a dozen cars, all opened with a tiny Case Peanut. The nine pieces from left to right are from a 9-Pack I purchased to get free shipping for some other things I needed. A good chunk of them are going to the neighbor's kids, as I already own two of them, and two others don't fit in at all with what I collect. The three on the right are from an eBay lot. The dump truck and Dodge Cattle truck are 1960s English-made pieces by Lesney. The ambulance is from 2012, and oddly came with the older two. It's got bent axles and a lot of printing wear due to a kid playing with it, but zero chips to the paint. I am going to remove the printing, straighten the axles, and use it as a guinea pig to practice use of waterslide decals.
Not really going in stores that much has got me back on finer scale stuff (i.e. the red wrecker in the background, a Siku Freightliner) and older stuff, so really, I'm not buying newer stuff. And then there's the corporate politics at Mattel, but we won't get into that .

Thanks. The peaches sure were. I licked the blade off but once the juice is gone I can’t taste much difference between it & plain old 1095.

Thanks Steve. The peach is all gone but I still have some apple wood left. Fortunately, I have a lot of hickory.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 4:20 pm Hey geo, if you're a griller, peach wood does delicious things to chicken. Mmmm...mmm...good!

Bushwhacking Holly and Ivy. The Case cut some thick Ivy and Holly vines and branches between fence slats where the clippers and manchette couldn't go.

You got it treefarmer. The S&M is a #5 made out of 1095 & desert ironwood some time after DFC took over.treefarmer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 9:07 pm Oh, yeah, geocash!![]()
