I use Sentry Tuf-Glide to lubricate the joints and put Renaissance wax on the rest. But like we noted before Ren Wax may harm your eyes.............You could go for Tuf-glide or no problem with mineral oil as a last resort.
Kershaw makes a BUNCH of assisted opening knives in the USA.
They are made here in Oregon, about 10 miles from the Benchmade factory.

Benchmade is excellent. Kershaw tends to be a bit less expensive I believe.

You will enjoy either brand. I don't have an assisted opening Buck, but I am very happy with their knives & especially their Customer Service. Joe Houser & his crew does a great job!
I think you are in a no lose situation if you buy from either of the three companies!
